FTSP UII Holds Ramadan Oasis of Wisdom Towards Civilization

The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning (FTSP) of the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) held the Oasis of Hikmah Ramadan as a meaningful spiritual strengthening activity for Ramadan 1447 H. The event, themed "The Essence of Love, a Healthy Body and Soul Towards a Civilized Islamic Civilization," served as an inspiring platform for the academic community.
The Oasis of Wisdom Ramadan consists of two main series, namely the Songsong Ramadan Recitation and the Ramadan Islamic Boarding School Recitation accompanied by breaking the fast together, which are held in stages throughout February to March 2026. The activities take place in the 3rd Floor Auditorium of FTSP UII, attracting the attention of lecturers and educational staff who are hungry for strengthening Islamic values.
The main theme emphasizes the essence of love from various Islamic perspectives, from spiritual to social to physical dimensions. In a modern era full of challenges such as leadership crises and unhealthy lifestyles, this event is relevant for restoring love as the foundation of social life.

The Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FTSP) at UII, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ar. Ilya Fadjar Maharika, MA, IAI, in his remarks encouraged participants to cultivate ethical love in their daily interactions. He emphasized that love is not merely rhetoric, but a culture of justice that fosters social justice and protection.

Inspirational resource persons chosen by Ustadz Dr. Veby Novri Yendri, Sp.THT-KL., from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (UII) in the first session, and Ustadz Dzulkifli Hadi Imawan, Lc., M.Kom.I., Ph.D. from the Faculty of Islamic Studies, University of Indonesia (FIAI), discussed the expression of empathetic love in everyday life and the relationship between physical health and the quality of spiritual worship.
Participants were invited to reflect on contemporary challenges, such as the fading of deliberation and the replacement of ego, and the physical sacrifices of work that lead to chronic fatigue. This interactive study encouraged participants to apply the principle of love to build an inclusive, civilized Islamic civilization.
The success of the Oasis of Hikmah Ramadan not only enlivened the Ramadan atmosphere, but also became an annual momentum to form a more spiritual and productive FTSP UII community.
