FTSP UII Students Site Visit to Epicentrum

A total of 25 students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, Islamic University of Indonesia (UII), from the Civil Engineering Study Program, Architecture Study Program, and Environmental Engineering Study Program who are taking the Project Management course, which is a Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) course, participated in the Site Visit to Epicentrum Rasuna Said in Jakarta on 16-18 Dzulhijah 1446 H/12-14 June 2025.

At the beginning of the activity, students followed and listened to a presentation on property management by Melky Aliandri, ST, MBA, Director of PT Bakrieland Development Tbk, Director of PT. Bakrie Swasakti Utama, and Director/CEO of Provices Indonesia.

In his presentation, Melky Aliandri stated that property management is the activity of managing and supervising property assets, such as residential, industrial, and commercial real estate. Property management aims to increase property value through proper care and maintenance, generate stable income through effective rental management, increase operational efficiency by managing physical components effectively and efficiently, organize administrative, financial, and rental management systems, and increase customer satisfaction by creating a safe and comfortable atmosphere.

"By understanding the concept of property management, we can manage property effectively and efficiently, and increase property value and income," he said.

The next day's activity was a site visit, where students were divided into 4 groups, namely Office Wisma Bakrie, Office Bakrie Tower, Mall Epicentrum Walk, and Apartement Masterpiece. In that place, students were given an explanation related to building management, operations, maintenance, and others related to property management. Students seemed enthusiastic in listening to the explanation from the manager, and held discussions and Q&A.

The coordinator of the MBKM FTSP UII course, Vendie Abma, ST, MT, related to the field lecture activity, said that the property management field lecture aims to provide students with practical experience in the world of property management, complementing the theories learned in class with real applications in the field. In addition, students can also observe, analyze, and understand various aspects of property management, from operations, finance, to relationships with tenants and owners.

"With this field lecture, it is hoped that students can apply the property management theory they have learned to real situations, so that understanding of the concept becomes deeper," he said.
